Congratulations to our new Prime Minister!

Following the announcement of the new Prime Minister and leader of the Conservative party, Susan Hall, leader of the GLA Conservatives, comments:

“Many congratulations to Liz Truss on being elected leader of the Conservative Party. As our next Prime Minister, she will bring dynamism, a steely determination, and a positive vision for the future of our country.

As Conservatives, we must unite and get on with the people’s priorities. In London, we need to help people with the rising cost of living, reduce the NHS backlog, and tackle the crime wave that has plagued our city this summer.

We hope that Sadiq Khan will take this opportunity to reset his relationship with the government, and work more constructively with ministers in the best interests of Londoners.”
