Tony Devenish AM comment: Heathrow third runway ruled illegal over climate change

Tony Devenish AM said:

"The business case for expanding Heathrow has always been entirely flawed, and today’s ruling will be welcomed by millions of Londoners who recognise that a third runway would be environmentally catastrophic for our city.

"Today’s judgement should mark the end of the road for Heathrow’s third runway. The Government needs to go back to the drawing board and take a fresh look at how to increase the UK’s airport capacity whilst ensuring that our precious environment is protected."
