Statement regarding the Grenfell National Fire Memorial Service – St Paul's Cathedral – Thursday 14th December 2017

Tony Devenish, London Assembly member for West Central (Kensington), said:

“A sombre six months to the day of the tragic fire, it is fitting that St Paul's Cathedral, with its historic national focus, is hosting our North Kensington communities’ memorial service.

“My sincere and deepest sympathies remain with the survivors, relatives and friends of the victims of the appalling tragedy at Grenfell.

“I will be paying my respects at 11am with a minute of quiet contemplation to coincide with the St Paul’s Cathedral Service.

“As our community moves to rebuild emotionally and physically, we will never forget those who lost their lives and will strive to learn the painful lessons from this devastating event.”
